Fertility, demystified.

Comprehensive reproductive health testing, individualized fertility education & support, and a plan for plan C, too.

Everyone deserves the chance to build their family when they feel ready. For many people, that turns out to be harder than it sounds. Learning your fertile signs is more than half the battle. With Recalibrate, you’ll leave your visits understanding your body’s signs with confidence.

Many only stop birth control when they are ready to be pregnant, then find their body isn’t responding as expected.

Conception depends on good timing and a body ready for it, and plenty of modern factors interfere with both. Ovulation predictor kits and measuring your basal temperature can be frustrating. LH (luteinizing hormone) is one important piece of the picture, but even identifying peak can be confusing.

One midwife, walking with you.

You’ve tracked the cycles. You're taking the vitamins. You are considerably more familiar with your cervical mucus than you ever expected. Even his swimmers have gone under the microscope! Still looking for answers? You deserve fertility care that brings just as much attention to the details.

Recalibrate offers fertility investigation and treatment with Kailia Wray, a Certified Nurse-Midwife who takes your whole journey into account.

“Everything looks normal.” And yet, here you are.

The tubes are confirmed open. Ovulation is happening. The semen analysis looks good. Why isn’t it working?

Up to 30% of couples seeking fertility treatment hear the words ‘unexplained infertility’. But what is that even? There is always some reason why pregnancy isn't happening, and you deserve to know why.

Recalibrate keeps looking, with a comprehensive review of overall health and wellness: your stressors, cycle patterns, thyroid function, metabolic health, medications and any symptoms sapping your life force. We build on the testing you’ve already had, complete additonal testing and talk frankly about what we can address and how, as well as when the next level of care makes the most sense.

You deserve a clinician who takes the time to get to the bottom of the issue.

Sound familiar? You’re in the right place.

  • My labs look fine. My cycles are all over the place.
  • I’ve had two early losses, and I want someone to take them seriously.
  • I have PCOS/PMOS, and I’d like to understand what’s driving it.
  • If one more person tells me to “just relax” …
  • I was told to lose weight. I was hoping for an actual plan.
  • I had more questions than my appointment had minutes.

Three months* to change to whole story

There’s more to preparing for pregnancy than circling a few days on the calendar or peeing on a bunch of test strips. Too bad nobody ever taught us what the rest of it is. Many of us spend years terrified of getting pregnant, then struggle to conceive once we’re finally ready.

*Over a period of three-six months, I will support you in embarking on your health transformation, closely tracking your responses. (Recommended care timelines are unique to your specific history, age and goals.)

Initiation of care 60 minutes. Your story, in depth. Treatment underway.

A midwife. Before there’s a baby.

Midwifery care begins well before pregnancy. A Certified Nurse-Midwife can skillfully evaluate reproductive health concerns, order and perform testing and prescribe treatment.

We start by getting to know you, then choose testing and treatment that fit. Your plan begins with nourishment and movement that work in your daily life. You’ll understand what we’re changing and why, with clear next steps we decide on together.

Fertility Care FAQs

Do you take insurance?

Yes. Recalibrate accepts some insurance plans. Fertility benefits vary by plan, so we encourage you to verify your coverage before your first appointment.

Do I need an infertility diagnosis to book?

No. You can come in before trying, after a loss or because your cycles have changed. If you’re trying to conceive, evaluation is generally recommended after twelve months under age 35, or six months at 35 or older, and sooner when your history calls for it. You can ask for help before you reach those milestones.

Don't I need to see a doctor to help with my fertility?

Many people start with a midwife. As a Certified Nurse-Midwife, I’m a licensed independent provider in Oregon and Washington, with full authority to evaluate fertility concerns, order lab work and imaging, and prescribe treatment, including medication to support ovulation. Most of a fertility workup and early treatment falls within that care. When you need IVF, surgery or another specialist procedure, a reproductive endocrinologist is the right partner. I’ll refer you and keep supporting you alongside their team.

Can you help me make sense of my charts or fertility monitor data?

Yes. Bring me your charts, app history or monitor results. We’ll look at what your temperatures, cervical mucus and/or hormone readings show about when and whether you ovulate, and how the second half of your cycle holds up. Home monitors read hormone byproducts in urine, so they’re useful for spotting patterns. When a reading raises questions, we look deeper with labwork or imaging.

How many losses before I should be evaluated?

An evaluation is warranted after two pregnancy losses. ASRM’s 2026 guidance includes early losses confirmed only by a blood or urine pregnancy test; the losses do not have to be consecutive. Confirmed ectopic and molar pregnancies are evaluated separately. You can also book after one loss for support and a review of your history.

Will you offer IUI or IVF?

IUI is part of Recalibrate’s planned fertility services, including care for people using donor sperm. Ask us about timing and availability when you book. Recalibrate does not perform IVF. When IVF or other specialist treatment is appropriate, we coordinate a referral and can continue supporting you alongside your fertility team.

Where do visits happen?

Telehealth visits are available across Oregon and Washington, and in-person care is available in the Portland metro. We’ll help you choose the visit type that fits your care.

What happens when I get pregnant?

You can continue with Recalibrate for prenatal care, co-managed with the practice or birth center where you plan to deliver. Continuity of care saves lives.

Is Uncover a replacement for a visit?

Uncover is education, designed to help you understand fertility and prepare useful questions. Individual testing, diagnosis and treatment happen in clinical care. Think of it as a head start on the conversation.

Whatever your family-building goals, I’m here to help you take the needed steps towards understanding your body’s messages.

You’ve done enough wondering. Let’s make a plan.
